how is this? Never got either of the collaborations. As much as I love the Melvins, and I was DK fan, I can't really see Jello's voice and the Melvins sound working?

it's only my 1st listen! it seems pretty good but i'm not that familiar with the melvins so couldn't say if this is their normal style. definitely some dk-ish sounding moments though!

I have seig howdy and I'll be honest, its just ok. Dale does not deliver... and as you said, the biafra voice doesn't always work with them. It's worth getting used or something, its not bad, but nowhere near as great as we would want it to be.

I was grounded from my stereo for a few days.
I'm out of that hell though.

Monday:

5/5 fucking brilliant
yesterday:

4/5 Its not the massey hall disc, but it is still quite good.

And today thus far:

4/5 Some of Zappa's more fun work.

There's something really unique about the production on that one. It sounds really lo-fi to me. Almost like 4-track demos. I love it.

I get really really tired of all the board-bashing of this album. No album that features "Andorgynous Mind," "Winner's Blues," "Bull In The Heather," "Screaming Skull," or "Tokyo Eye" can be so f'ing bad.

I could not agree more. & let's not forget, "Self-Obsessed and Sexxee". One of the best lyrical/vocal work that Thurston has done, + just a unique passionate filled music piece to follow.

All out great album, in my opinion.
