are you kidding me! No Way!!! Now throw in some De Facto!!!! |

I'm going to have to now. We studied Reggae in my Musicology class today. I think I'm going to go outside to read and listen to some De Facto. Onward... |
Nice! I would go outside, but it's 21:24PM here and very cold. I am on Légende du Scorpion à Quatre Queues at the moment, and loving it! thanks again!
|
No problem at all. It's around 4:30 and rather warm with a nice breeze, perfect reading outside weather. That one kind of scared me the first time I listened to it. Mainly the line, "the proper nomenclature of the four-tailed scorpion is the baby-faced devil-faced..." I just wasn't expecting that.
|
|
you like that? I like it a lot, listened to it every single night since I got it.
I'm listening to again |
i love it. it's my second favourite of theirs (my favourite being keep on your mean side)
|
I still can't get most of their songs.

damn everytime I reply to your posts looks like I want to preach or something, but actually it's just that you give me the opportunity to post things I think about my "generic opinions on music". :D |
Ha. Well I do like some of their music mostly their singles. However, I can't get on any further. Please your music taste is horrible, I have proof to back me up.

so, the new spiritualized is good, eh? thats good news.
is it more space rock oriented like ladies and gentleman..., or is there still some of those gospel and blues influences which have been prevalent on the last couple records? either way, i dig both styles, jason spacemen has excellent taste in music, and therefore makes great music. |
Thurston Moore - Root (vinyl)

I'll take it you'll be paying the $47 to see them with Lou Reed? |
Quote:
Huh, where at, in Asheville? I know Lou will be playing The Orange Peel. I didn't know Melt Banana was touring w/ him. |
They are playing with Lou at the TN Theatre on April 30th.

Shit, I had no idea. I'm definitely going to this. Thanks for the info SY37! RHYS Chatham was here not too long ago, I missed that show which was stupid on my part, so I'm not letting this show get away. |
Yeah, I missed Pere Ubu too. You going to SY in Nashville?
|
Quote:
You know it my good man. I'm uber excited. My 2nd SY show overall. How 'bout yrself, are you seeing them in any of the upcoming shows? |
Mine as well, I was at Pitchfork last summer. I don't like the whole "will-call only" policy of the venue though. I'm ready for another show, my last was Dino Jr in November.
|
Quote:
Same here, Dino Jr. was the last show I went to. As always, they blew me away. |
