Comedy Punk.

Punk can be fun, right? Just ask Crass. But did you know just how much fun it could be? If you've not heard the tracks listed, then find them, listen & prepare to have your ribs tickled.

But who is the Punk King Of Comedy? Well...?

porkmarras 08.19.2006 08:53 AM

Love the avatar Spookie.converted?hehe.

porkmarras 08.19.2006 08:57 AM

It's difficult to tell how much Joh Cooper Clarke is serious and how much he is comedy but i'll go for him because he is mostly a good crack.Either that or Green Day.

Has to be Jilted John for me. I love Graham Fellows.

I'm so glad this thread is about comedy punk, rather than 'comedy' punk, which is largely American gobshites taking the piss out of things in a fantastically unamusing and shit way.

Good choice, whoever picked Wayne County.

I. Used to be sang regularly at closing time by the whole pub in a seedy part of the south west.

Jilted John, no question.

Savage Clone 08.19.2006 11:42 AM

I enjoy me some Peter and the Test Tube Babies.

No mention of Attila The Stockbroker?

Pookie 08.19.2006 11:48 AM

I saw Attila the Stockbroker & John Otway live together. I loved ATS at the time.

Hip Priest 08.19.2006 11:50 AM

He pops up on Radio Five Live sometimes.

I saw him at an English conference when I was at college. He made me laugh, but the rest of the crowd didn't seem to get the Pavement references. Still...

Pookie 08.03.2008 05:49 PM

Nostalgia bump.

PAULYBEE2656 08.04.2008 05:55 AM

no one mentioned jimmy pursey... sham 69...
serious band but in a fun way!

"we are going down the pahb!"

or the sex pistols.. biggest comedy band ever!

Pookie 08.04.2008 05:58 AM

I was thinking of deliberately funny bands, otherwise Sham 69 and Sex Pistols could very well have featured.

leakyheadboy 08.04.2008 06:58 AM
