Sonic Youth are excited to announce a NYC performance of the Daydream Nation
album: July 28 at the McCarren Park Pool in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with The
Slits opening. Tickets
are now available. Additional Daydream Nation performances in the USA include
July 13 at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago with GZA and Slint, on
July 19 at the Berkeley Community Theater in Berkeley, CA and July 20 at
the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles with Redd Kross performing 'Born Innocent'.

I like the "freaky" description... anyone want to put a guess on what they might be?

Not much chance on that Brigitte Fontaine collaboration ever getting clearance I suppose, but around the same time they were talking about releasing J'accuse Ted Hughes and some "unreleased studio jam" as a SYR. Can't think of much else now.

It's nice that there'll be 2 new SYRs comming out quite close together.

I'm hoping it will be the collab with Takehisa Kosugi. Wasn't that mooted as a potential future SYR?
