I like 154, Chairs Missing, and Pink Flag all in different ways.

When I think of incredible progress and diversity in a 3 in-a-row album release....this is one trio I always remark about. I like each as well, and especially 154.

I was working at a record store in '79 when 154 came out and I played it anytime I could. My manager didn't dig it cause it wasn't 'popular'...so I'd play it when he'd step out or late after he'd left.

154 is light years ahead of Pink Flag. From extremely basic arrangements to highly sophisticated tunage...ala King Crimson. IMHO.

I never hear many speak of Wire....so this is a refreshing thing to see ! :D

Great album - I like it more than Pink Flag.

The first three albums are all excellent. Now the rest... Eh. I got A Bell is a Cup and the cheesy ass keyboards were too much for me.

Try Send, their last album. Excellent stuff.

I saw them at ATP 2002 and they were absolutely amazing.

agreed... it's begginning to and back again is a bunch of better versions of tracks from a bell is a cup. still not as good as the first 3 records, though.

The '86 cd.....The Point of Collapse...or what was it ?....oh...The Ideal Copy.

is pretty good...better than a bell is a cup.

I even like Colin Newman's solo one from '88 called It Seems. Lots of synthesized stuff....but interesting nonetheless. Much different than early Wire though.

There's something strange going on tonight....
