My first electric guitar...

I'm a kid looking out for my first electric guitar...

I really like both fender jazzmaster and jaguar, but they cost too much for my wallet... so, the closest thing i can get ( i suppose) is a squier jagmaster, that seems to be a cheap mistura of both or whatever.
Is it a good option?
And about the amp?

appreciated, Fiquem Bem

Get a used guitar that is in decent shape, intonates decently, stays in tune, and doesn't buzz anywhere on the neck. If a guitar plays well, intonates properly, and stays in tune, you've got a killer guitar. If it doesn't sound good, change the pickups.

I'm not sure I'd recommend a Jagmaster to a beginner becuz they're kinda heavy...

But, I supposed you'd get used to it...my first guitar was an Epiphone Les Paul Special II, and that was/is (I've still got it) around 9 lbs....I used to be able to play that thing standing up for around two hours before the shoulder soreness became unbearable...and now just the other day I was playing my Heartfield RR58 which is about 6 lbs, and I started getting sore after an hour and a half.

Must be getting weak in my age.

I have a squier Jagmaster, and I love it. The only thing that bothers me is the whammy bar screws up the tunings easily. Overall, it's a good gtr.

If its your first guitar, just get something cheap. Chances are you wont really be able to tell a huge difference in how the guitars sound and it wont really matter anyhow if your not gonna be performing with it. When your ready for something better you'll know.

i wish i had a bass

Be real careful if you're getting a squier, they can be suprisingly great or fairly shit, it's all down to the individual guitar. Test a few of them out, you can find some real gems.
