Most people have beds, no? I have one – don't you? I tend not to pose for photographers in my bed – or anywhere else for that matter. ;)

Looking forward to checking out the album...love that she's exploring a new direction – and from the songs I've heard, it's a very good fit for her! :)

One of the best albums of the year

Probably the most forward-thinking solo release from an SY member.

Just a tremendous win, and I can’t stop playing it.

Yeah! I've listened to it two times for now and it's awesome album and getting better all the time. Definitely one of the best albums released in 2019 and easily the most forward-thinking solo release from Sonic Youth member after they disbanded.

I like the trip hop kind of style of it, it's like a combination of 90's Tricky (Pre-Millennium Tension & Angels With Dirty Faces) and Sonic Youth. Kim seems more focused on this than on Body/Head albums.

Sketch Artist is straight up experimental hip-hop, musically.
Blows me away.

Also has some genuinely sweet moments, like “Earthquake”

I just love this album. Great work Kim.

Right, thought of that as well, but also harbor exactly zero hope for more SY.

hope is for suckers ;)

but maybe some day. who knows?

guest 11.12.2019 02:37 AM

would anyone even want that though? honestly given the vein she’s tapped into I don’t think I would wanna her Kim constrained by them again. and also not sure what the point would be?

!@#$%! 11.12.2019 01:39 PM

no idea. i just wanted to say “hope is for suckers” :D
