they're just too boring to my ears, is all. I've even gathered enough courage to see their concert (twice, even), but both times it ended up being an endless tiring charade and with me getting shit faced at the bar. in case you're interested in this thrilling story.

Sorry. Didn't mean to seem like I was taking it very seriously. I was just a bit ... awed... by the tone of your post. Of course you're free to have your own opinion, and it's not my place to judge but it's tough to imagine a band like Mono inspiring such a response. Anyway you don't have to justify yourself to me.

just bangs....there's a real sweet freestyle over a slowed down edit of kelis' flashback too and that chopped up version of wuthering heights and a take on a marine girls track and it's sick.

I asked Santa for Intoxicated Women then only later realised that this might be considered as inappropriate. This is the Dutch Santa who comes on December 5, along with his Black Piets who are no longer allowed to be black because black people complained about it.

Anyway this is volume 4, I still don't have volume 3 either which was released earlier this year.

typhonian highlife - the world of shells

spencer clark (skaters, monopoly child star searchers, fourth world magazine etc.) sending out what will undoubtedly come to be seen as one of the most essential transmissions in the lineage of 'fourth world' sound, music so spatially aware of itself as to take in any and every sound that enters his head from choral drones to garbled speech, tones that sound like they should've been purged before that haven't, immensely naturalistic synthesised sound and everything lurking in between the gaps thereof. incredibly cool trajectory these guys have taken: while ferraro skews the current to gather a misshapen view of the now, clark conjures up something that seems to be the product of some bygone daydream that hasn't come to pass. absolutely magnificent stuff, this.

I don't really call this music, but if you like it, go ahead :)

Kristin Hersh's new album is great. A big collection of twisted, dark little ditties that only she could make. I've always got time for whatever she does.

I must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Kuhb again.

Nine Inch Nails just released a new EP, Not the Actual Events. And it's actually really fucking good. Only listened once, so I can't speak to its lasting appeal, but it sounds more like NIN with a purpose than Hesitation Marks, which I found to be pretty bland and disappointing.

I guess they (NIN being an actual "they" now that Atticus Ross has become an official and permanent member, for some reason) are planning on releasing two albums in 2017. If this EP is any indication, could be some good shit on the horizon.
