NxWorries (a duo which consists of Anderson .Paak and the producer Knxwledge) announced their release date - October 21st!

I think everyone here, and yes that means SuchFriends and Rob as well, should be able to jam out to their first single "Suede": https://youtube.com/watch?v=zNTNbNtft9g

Dude's voice really reminds me of Curtis Mayfield, and that is one of my favorite songs of the decade. That song was the one that made Dre want to team up with him for Compton and I can totally see why.

yeah but that is why i don't really bump Nas either.. i need some boogie in my rap. they may do the rockaway back East but out West gangtaz most certainly dance

louder 09.21.2016 03:15 PM

I can do both, depends on my mood and the season. I like them to balance each other out. New gen West Coast rappers don't really got boogie like that though. Earl is another East type rapper who just happens to be from Cali.

There is a track I hear on Htown hip hop radio whose singer sounds like Curtis Mayfield in the first part and then segues into a full on Prince voice. It is a soulful jam. Can't figure out who it is. Maybe Anderson.paak?

Interesting. Could be Anderson .Paak - The Season / Carry Me. Or maybe Ro James - Permission.. maybe not.

Rob Instigator 09.21.2016 04:28 PM

lemme check those....

Louder is da man. It was indeed Ro James - Permission. The first part sounds like curtis mayfield falsetto and then it goes into a Prince-ian sexy growlpurr... late night jam.

Yeah, I've been excited about this one. Really like Knxwledge. I like .Paak too. Should be an excellent album.

Hip hop?

Any word on that upcoming final ATCQ album?

What about King Push, for god's balls' sake? Supposed to drop a year ago, then it was April, then July. What the what?!

Pepper why are you trolling, buddy? You were just calling us all assholes to be avoided at all costs.

Louder: you still bumpin' Blank Face LP or The Sun's Tirade?

I am really liking Blank Face even more than I did initially. I think "Lord Forgive Me" is one of my top rap songs of the year. Great sample.

Tracklist for Kid Cudi's new album (which drops this Friday):

Two Andre 3K and Pharrell features and a Travis feature.. interesting.

John Cale talks about why rock is dead and hip hop took over, and is apparently a fan of Chance, Earl and Vince Staples: http://www.aquariumdrunkard.com/2016...ard-interview/

Wow that's so dope. Wouldn't have guessed.
