Have you already heard the Kim Gordon/Bill Nace casette tape? If so, what are your impressions? In my mind, this should be an amazing combo. I've been listening to some Bill Nace stuff recently, most notably "Too Dead For Dreaming". Anyway, that smiley face on your post means you are happy, right? Hope you enjoy.

yeh i've listened a couple of times, it's good. i'm very happy with the whole package. not only is the boxset signed by Thurston but also the Customs declaration slip on the front of the parcel! i will treasure it all.

Pelle 04.13.2011 03:00 PM

Would you mind photographging the box and separate stuff in it?
Im intrssted to see some closeup stuff :)

stu666 04.13.2011 05:01 PM

i only have the camera on my phone, i'll try get and get some better pictures another day...

rappard 04.13.2011 05:15 PM

Seriously jealous at the moment....how much did it cost you, including shipping and everything?

stu666 04.13.2011 05:32 PM

about £80 including shipping. there's 11 tapes in total so less than £8 a tape.

Only 6,000 copies of Whores Moaning will be available worldwide of this EP re-issue originally released in 1993 in Australia to coincide with tour dates there. With the title referencing the earlier EP by friends/labelmates Nirvana, Whores Moaning includes the radio edit of “Sugar Kane,” covers of the New York Dolls’ “Personality Crisis” and Alice Cooper’s “Is It My Body,” and the instrumentals “The End Of The End Of The Ugly” and “Tamra.” The front cover artwork is a photocopy of one of Kurt Cobain’s dolls; the back cover is an original drawing by Cobain. And more importantly another release (think visually) will be announced by Sonic Youth on record store day.

probably not TYPB, because that would mean prolonged legal battles with you-know-who, and that would be such a bummer, and the sonics are way to chillaxed right now to think about subjecting themselves to that.

so maybe:
Daydream Live
Gila Monster Jamboree
Put Blood in the Music
(that student made SY live doc whose name I forget)
Live at Staches
Screaming Fields of Sonic Love on DVD?
or some other ridiculously awesome stuff from the vaults none of us has ever heard of

hours of unedited echocanyon webcam footage

Sleeping Nights Awake - it's lovely.

There's more besides your list, but I have no clue how advanced (or how embryonic) those releases are at the moment.
