Anyone fancy a little collaboration on my ambient drone thing?

Thing is, I've had to ditch my partner in this project for being bone idle and bereft of ideas. Shame really, it was all going so well.

Anyhoo. The silver lining is that I can now treat it as a solo project and collaborate with anyone that's willing.

I've already completed one track with a guy from Japan, and I'm in the middle of another with yet another Japanese person who's hopefully going to add some lovely piano work to my droney background.

I have 2, maybe 3 labels (pretty small ones tho) interested in releasing my stuff, and whilst the droney backgrounds stand up pretty well on their own, in an enoesque sort of way, they were meant to have stuff added to them.

So if you're interested, the link to my Listening Mirror soundcloud page is in my sig. Have a listen, and if you think you can enhance what's already there let me know.

I'd maybe be interested in this. I've got this really cool weezy old pianorgan thing that I dug out of my parents attic about a year back and which I've been looking for an excuse to use. It's basically an electric accordian. I'd need to work out the best way to mike it, which might be a bit of a challenge, but yeah, I could see it gelling with some of this stuff. Maybe on Inconsolable, Cast Off or the Sartre one. I will have to be careful though. It's a fairly harsh sound. Other than that, I can lay down trumpet/flugelhorn...

I could contribute with something as well.

Fab!

Mr Slander:-

Cast Off is being worked on by my Japanese friend, but Sartre's Memories and Inconsolable are up for grabs. I was gonna leave Sartre's Memories alone, but a wheezy piano organ might actually work. I'll free them up for download if you want to have a try.

Slavo

Just let me know which track!

Now that I've had a chance to listen through some more, is anything being done/has been done with Amiga Genio or Rogue Brother? Because I can picture those working too. On reflection, Sartre probably seems best left alone. I'd still lean towards Inconsolable as the best to work on, but really it's a matter of just messing around and seeing what works...

Florya 04.02.2010 11:49 AM

Nope. They're both open for enhancement.
I'll free them up as well. Don't be put off by any vocal samples - they're not staying.
Good luck, let me know when you've finished downloading what you need.

OK, downloads done. I've got family visiting for a couple of days, but I'll see what I can do over the next week or so...

what about the style?
open to anything, or is there a definite musical aim from your side?
would be more then interested, cause I still dig them pretty much!

Well, it needs to be pretty subtle. needs to fit with what's already there. My usual advice is to listen to the track with your eyes closed and just play what comes to you.

When you've decided which track you'd like to work on, let me know and I'll free it up for download.
