All day long I tried to remember the lyrics to "In my time of dying", the Lydia Lunch version.
And all of a sudden it came to me as an epiphany. My mind is clear.
In my time of dying / I don't want nobody to moan / All I want for you to do is / Take my body home / Well well well so I can die easy / Well well well / Well well well so I can die easy / Jesus' gonna make up / Jesus' gonna make up / Jesus' gonna make up my dying bed...

It's the swing in Lydia's voice, well well well so I can die easy that turns the lyrics into something else.

I want to hear that. What Lydia CD is it on?

Someone sent me the new Wolf Eyes record "Black Wing Over The Sand" this morning.

I'm listening to that. I like it. Recommended.

It's not screamy if that's what you mean. It's droney doomy dirty atmospheric stuff, like River Slaughter a bit, yeah, but better in my opinion. It's very early Throbbing Gristle-like.

I had this on a cassette with asorted songs someone recorded for me a long time ago. One thing I'm sure about it was Rowland Howard on guitar.
Gonna check it out and come back to you!

*Edit: See below!

The only CD I found in the net with this song is SHOTGUN WEDDING, Disc 2, it's a live recording, but I didn't remember it as live.
Gonna keep searching. Lydia has quite a discography.

*Edit: Yes it's that album, and it's Rowland S. Howard on it. Apparently first edited in 1992. And it's not live.
