Build you own guitar pedal website.

I just found this page. I'm really interested in learning about electronics and making my own pedals eventually and this looks like a good place to start.
They supply all the parts and you assemble the pedal yourself.
I'm gonna get the compressor kit.

Post other similar sites if you know of any.

Look quite interesting. I'll check it out!

Those are the my favorite pedal related websites. BYOC is like painting by numbers of pedal building IMO, and the best way to learn it probably to build a simple boost or distortion from DIY or GEO and then go from there. I just don't like BYOC because you have to pay them for every project you do.

what about bass?

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 05.15.2006 02:38 PM

Bass pedals and guitar pedals both work the same, any "bass" pedal will work on guitar and vice versa (although some octavers don't track well on bass) bass pedals are simply designed to have a better low end frequency response with whatever effect you are doing.

next i will build a fuzz factory....

You can't get the schems for it. Closely guarded secret. Although if you know someone with one, they could trace the board for you.

haha yeah I have seen joystick mods but to be onest they dont attract me, anyway very strange stuff.
some weeks ago I used an old computer to create sound. connected two cable on the mainboard and soldered them to a spkr doing a loop with the mainboard again passing through a little amp and it came up a very strange noise, nearly to a flanger. then I controlled that sound from the sound control pannel of windows 98. I stoned my friends :)

Nice website CHOUT they send everything you need to build an effect: comfy!

Sweet. I plan on doing this stuff a lot when I learn more stuff.

shentov 05.16.2006 03:22 AM

nice! i use this guy's custom pedals, he works really well. take a look at my 'sonic fuzz' there. i suck at making pedals, but like to have and use them.
