Citalopram is an anti-depressant, ain't it?

_slavo_ 01.19.2007 03:35 AM

Why would one need help with shit?

Anyways, I used to have this medicine at home called "Cipralex" which is quite similar to Citalopram ....it was back then when I suffered from depressions. But I said to myself, hey, it's not that bad and just locked it up in my drawer.

sonicl 01.19.2007 03:58 AM

The side-effects will pass. And I say that in a sincere way.

jon boy 01.19.2007 05:21 AM

my advice is be very careful with this stuff it can be quite dangerous.

a friend who was on this stuff was worse when he took it and when he had to stop it was even worse.

i wish doctors would offer cognetive therapy instead of prescribing drugs to people with depression (not that you are depressed) without really giving them any kind of examination.

yeah, I second that. It's all about doctor's approach to patient's condition (biological vs. psychoanalytical). Doctors with biological approach see depression just as a bunch of neurons lacking proper synaptical connection with other neurons (or some shit like that) and, without asking you a thing, they just hand you a prescription and you're shown the door. That's what happened to me last year and it was quite fucked up. I was asking for help and she gave me pills.

jon boy 01.19.2007 05:50 AM

i went to the doctor on an unrelated matter and was prescribed anti depresents. i never took them but the fact that i was with the doctor for about five minutes and she didnt really ask me many questions or know me previously and then gave me strong mind altering drugs was unbelieveble. its happened to a few people i know.

Ones I got throughout my life from drugs:
Loss of Memory
Excess Urination
Incontinence
Painful Urination
Frequent Twitching (this was about, once a minute. I still have it, just it wore off quite a bit)

tesla69 01.19.2007 10:10 AM

Sometimes I wonder if the point of these meds is to make the subject so freakin miserable and wacked out s/he forgets s/he is depressed.

_slavo_ 01.19.2007 11:56 AM

that might be a point.
you get so numb, you become a lifeless piece of meat.

ALIEN ANAL 01.19.2007 11:59 AM

speaking of piece of meat
I want to get a tattoo of the stamp they put on packaged meat. Somewhere on my body, not to sure where yet.

sonicl 01.19.2007 12:02 PM

May I be the first to suggest your forehead?

compulsive diarrhea, jico 01.19.2007 12:18 PM

Trasher02 01.19.2007 12:30 PM

I don't know if it's because of the drugs but I sometimes have the feeling that I'm better then other people.

Trasher02 01.19.2007 12:31 PM
