Duck, You Sucker (aka) A Fistful of Dynamite (aka) Once Upon a time... The Revolution

Watched this one last night. It was Sergio Leone's follow up to his better known Once Upon a Time in the West and the second installment of his Once Upon a Time Trilogy.

REALLY good stuff. The first half was (intentionally) hilarious and the second was intense and bitter-sweet.

Nefeli, my boyfriend and several of my friends loved Dewey Cox and they all assumed they were gonna hate it.

I watched Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay - enjoyed it - had many a hardy laugh

Then I watched Dark Star by John Carpenter - that movie was fricken brilliant. It'd be perfect as a double feature with 2001.

Dark Star has gotta be one of the best low budget science fiction movies ever made.
Good call.
Here's the original screenplay if you're interested.

Stoned. On the Sundance channel. Why do they show bad movies. They're the fucking Sundance channel, for Christ's sake. They're supposed to know better.

Silent Dan Speaks 05.17.2008 05:00 PM

Last movie was The Rocky Horror Picture Show and before that it was Raiders of the Lost Ark or The Naked Gun. I forget which.

i saw ironman, tecnhically twice, but the first time i was still drowsy from two xanax i took the previor night for a red eye flight so i slept through it. i absolutley loved it, and agree with the people who are saying its the best superhero flic ever. it satisfied comic geeks, movie buffs, and people who just want great summer entertainment. the acting was suprisingly incredible, downey jr couldnt have been cast better as stark. the story was good, just a great movie.

has anyone seen the preview for "the incredible hulk"?. it looks amazing. i hope they do this one right, they tried to make the one with eric bana artsy and ended up making a shit movie.

steve newman 05.20.2008 08:34 PM

just got finished with 28 weeks later. meh.

charles eugene 05.20.2008 08:35 PM

I saw the trailer for the new Hulk and i dont think it looks any better than the last one, but i hope im wrong.

I last watched, There Will Be Blood. Such a good movie, very well done and true to life. Daniel Day Lewis kicked serious ass with that role. The soundtrack i think(though not alot of music in the film, which i like) was done by the radiohead guy and i thought it was good.

Silent Dan Speaks 05.21.2008 02:28 AM

Breathless. I kind of had a sad bastard night, so I put that in. I think I like it a little bit more every time I watch it.
