I couldn't find the thrread but the dup with NEls Friday was pretty sweet, eh? Nels in fact was outstanding, some of the twisted dfucking inverted riffs funnelled through some impossible sound effects - woah, very very packed tiny venue, but good sound...Thurston seemed to be grounding the sounds and NEls just playing through it. A++

to all who call thurston a twat, fuck you. i was at the feb 4 show at the new hope winery, i had found out about the show that morning, and since it was my 30th birthday and had nothing planned, i decided to drive the 6 hours to see the show. awsome show, queen bee and her pals was great. after the show i was able to meet thurston at the hotel and he wished me a happy birthday, and gave me an autograph and a cd. thurston moore is the coolest person you could ever hope to meet. if you wanna know about a twat, just look to fred durst or chevele.

I just wanted to say that Thurston was fucking amazing in DC tonight and Patrick got some video of Ono Soul (which he didn't play the last time he was in DC, so this is the one I REALLY wanted to see) and Patti Smith Math Scratch.....maybe some more crap. Kurt Vile was pretty good too. He played He's Allright, so that was cool, but it was mostly his new stuff.

Hearing all the classic Psychic Hearts stuff acoustic was fucking great.....anyway good times, great oldies.

I must admit, feeling a little odd seeing Thurston without the rest of the band. I realize it's a solo tour....I've just never seen any of them without the rest. Should be interesting.

In Barcelona, the venue is the Apolo [2], the small one, and it's VERY small, for maximum 400 people (cheek to cheek). Really curious choice, super intimate gig, I'm very used to that venue, and there's no separation between the artist and the crowd.
