does anyone here play drums and can record them...

...for me... just send me an mp3 or wav... play whatever you want, as long as the sound quality is decent enough (you know, as decent as lo fi can get)... I'm going to cut up whatever you send me and put it to my music, but I just want a real authentic drum sound even in the sampled drums. If you could, play each part of your drum set sepately one time and then do some fills and shuffles... especially nice would be a sort of "galloping" beat, like a really fast swinging beat. Really, just whatever, it doesn't really have to be more than 5 minutes long.

Just whoever wants to do that, post a link on here or something (I think my PM inbox is almost full).. and I only really need one person for this.. you'll get full credit for whatever I use whenever the album's released, just gimme your name... thanks!!!!!!!!!

o'connor 09.13.2008 11:25 AM

can it be reeeeeeeeeeeeeal simple?

al shabbray 09.13.2008 11:42 AM

think he will sample it anyway bit by bit, so I would say yes

SonicBebs 09.13.2008 12:03 PM

just get some sticks, hit your bed matress for the bass drum (with the mic laying on the bed, at the other end) hit different things in your room for other drums (my sofa makes a wicked snare drum). hit plastic bags. drum on the floor. that kinda thing.

you'd be amazed how good they sound

al shabbray 09.13.2008 12:07 PM

yes that kind of searching for drum sounds is always surprising!!!
but I think he really searches for live drum sounds *speakingforatsonicparkmodeOFF*

o'connor 09.13.2008 03:13 PM

yeah i'm a fan of actual drums too. alot of that "searching for drums sound" ends up coming off like a fucking hippy drum circle. and we all know those suck. :)

batreleaser 09.13.2008 03:41 PM

im not letting you ruin my brilliant music you hack!!!!!!!!!!!!!

im just kidding, id love to but i cant keep a beat to save my fucking life.

HECKLER SPRAY 09.13.2008 04:06 PM

I have a 2 piece drum set- snare and tom

but it has a unique sound- because my drum sticks are hollow and have little thingies in them that move and make noise.

i have a drum kit, my usb mixer isnt working, so the only thing i can record it onto is an ancient tape deck. tried it once, it sounds awesome, i mean, it doesn't really sound like drums at all, you'd almost wonder if it even was drums, its just pure noise blasts.

i would do some for you but i can't upload tapes onto the computer yet as my usb mixer isn't working.

altho i just got a 4 track, havent had the time to set it up yet. so i suppose i could try to record from the 4 track into the computer but im not sure if this is possible?

have you ever heard of a programme called EZdrummer? its a plugin for fruity loops, doesn't sound great but i suppose you could use that and then fuck about with it to take away the clean fruity loops kinda sound of it

o'connor 09.14.2008 03:06 AM

galloping drum beat done. pm me yr email address and i'll send you the mp3. f'sho.

atsonicpark 09.14.2008 06:48 AM

You could record through your 4-track to your computer, yes. If you tell me what model it is and I can find the manual for it, I could even tell you how.

o'connor 09.14.2008 05:54 PM

check yr email cooley. be kind though... i'm still learning how to "break my right" on the drums. and i was a little drunk when i recorded them lol.

Trasher02 09.14.2008 06:01 PM

Damn there really aren't a lot of drummers on this board are they?
I'd let my drummer play a few beats for you but sadly enough my recording material sounds really horrible. But you know if you want I can still try. Eitherway it's your call, lemme know if I can help you.

atsonicpark 09.15.2008 07:17 AM

does anyone here havea banjo or violin and wants to record something? :)

o'connor 09.15.2008 01:04 PM

i think i could hook you up w/ some banjo. whatcha want it too sound like?

atsonicpark 09.15.2008 07:21 PM

haha damn o connor. You should just join my band haha.

Uh.. something fast, rednecky, ridiculous.. the more hickish the better.. maybe a little avant garde.. haha.. 2 minutes in length perhaps, and I'll use that as a solo track and maybe add horns or keyboards to it.. then, if you want to do some weird noodling for another couple of minutes, I'll probably overdub it somewhere else on the album. Haha.

Thanks!
