Gotta see them live for that, I'm afraid. Did you already? I'm still surprised at how much involved/entertained I get at their gig.

That's exactly what I was thinking. They must be a different thing live, and to an extent those great pictures you posted prove that. Is there a need for a smiley on here. Is there, eh?

king_buzzo 06.04.2007 06:37 AM

omg, my silly record store still doesn't have it. *Shoots personel.

Sure, you can BORROW it.

pokkeherrie 06.04.2007 08:57 AM

Paco is my favourite track. Overall it's a good solid Shellac album, but that's also the downside of it. Still nice to hear more Bob Weston vocals this time and of course the longer songs.
As awesome as some of their songs on the other albums are, they're never going to make anything as good as At Action Park and the first few singles ever again I'm sure. I'm not sure where this one ranks for me. Terraform remains my least favourite, the new one is currently 3rd behind At Action Park and 1000 Hurts, but I could see it going to 2nd place because I already like it more now than I did last week.

I prefer 1000 hurtz myself, but thanks for the review.

nicfit 06.04.2007 09:12 AM

Aaaaaaaaaaaaargh, after hearint this the sounds on 1000 hurtz sound too "reverberated" and "boomy"!!!! AAARGH! It's a curse!
I can't articulate very good this thing, but to me each record has a different "mood" and I could hardly compare them with each other, but this one is really lovely.
Paco is unbelievable, it has the perfect balance of all the things I love of "shellac", except some lyrics, but it does not lack vocals at all.
By the way enjoy THIS:

and do not abuse of it,please , or I'm going to jail. And I don't want to meet Paris, thanks.

pbradley 06.04.2007 09:16 AM

If I wasn't in this "nothing older than three years" bumfuck of a town, I would buy this today.

sarramkrop 06.04.2007 09:32 AM

I haven't listened to the rest of the album, so I can't judge.

pbradley 06.04.2007 09:43 AM

Now this is how I would like spammers to be like in the Sharing section. Look at it!!! It looks like a ransom note.

king_buzzo 06.05.2007 10:10 AM

Got it, it's pretty amazing. Theres like 3 covers on it which is quite funny and the packaging is confusing.

king_buzzo 06.06.2007 02:48 AM

BUMP! Idiots. Just realised that i shoud've bought the vinyl because the cd comes with it. IDIOT.

CHOUT 06.06.2007 02:52 AM

I bought the lp today and forgot it at the space...dammit.

king_buzzo 06.06.2007 02:54 AM

Wha? Practise space?

Well, some songs sound similar to the other albums like Steady as she goes, it sounds like ghosts, the riffage.

atsonicpark 06.06.2007 04:43 AM

pbradley wins.

Rob Instigator 06.06.2007 08:44 AM

i need to get the vinyl.
