Saw them in Dallas during Sunbather. It was actually a great show. You should enjoy it. I just got a ticket to Breeders in early October, who decided to bless me with an OKC show. It's crazy how pumped I actually am for this. And Primus in Tulsa next month. Always a treat for me. |
Tonight I'm going to see Kid Congo Powers. And the club he's playing doesn't charge a cover. It doesn't get much better than that.
|
The Brian Jonestown Massacre, La Luz, Spiritualized, Flamingods and more bands I've never heard play a whole song for Levitation Festival - not in Austin, in Angers, in 2 weeks
Next will be les Wampas, in a small town I'm looking forward to seeing Kikagaku Moyo live, in Paris, in november I'll go to Belgium the following day for the Sonic City curated by Courntey Barnett festival (Dream Wife, Eleanord Friedberger, Drinks, Snail Mail...), in Kortrijk |

I really, really want to see a show of theirs. Very jealous... |
I've been quite instantly turned on to their music by a friend. I love their guitar sound.

Sult Saturday
|
Giant claw played last night but i had a migraine.
|
I saw Charalambides on Friday in New Orleans. Death Posture opened up for them and played much quieter than I think they normally do. If you didn't know, Death Posture is Rob Cambre, and Donald Miller from Borbetomagus, with Chris Robert on percussion. I was wearing my Dead C shirt and Donald kept on going on and on about 'Malcolm' Morley lol. If Charalambides plays near you make sure you check it out!
|
Going to see the second day of the two day Cropped Out Festival in Louisville KY. Check out the lineups:
http://croppedoutmusic.com/ Anthony Braxton and Half Japanese are the "big" acts but most of the others aren't anything to sneeze at. Quin Kirchner Group is a solid jazz combo, while Sadie--from what I've heard of her recordings--just might make Hasil Adkins and The Residents sound normal by comparison. |
Saw Michael Gira solo with Norman Westberg...Gira set was okay, he played a bunch of all new Swans material that will be upcoming in next tour...his lyrics are overly sick/fuck to me, though, some to the point of being actually amusing. Westberg’s set was pretty cool...
Next up Min Xiao Fen solo, then Shellac on Monday |
Tonight: MONO
Tomorrow: MONO probably Low and more Mono soon too! |

this lineup is a phat dream....lambkin/nace, tommy wright, bill direen, charalambides! their bills every year are a dream. also pls check out exek, ozstraliens representinnn |
Went to go see HOuston hardcore legends JANITOR reunite for first show in 15 years, opening for Richie Ramone, and it was AWESOME. I filmed the whole 17 minute glory. https://youtu.be/0dqO4k_AuLw?t=61
|
Got to see Breeders a few weeks ago and loved it.
|
Might go see EUT and later on Jacco Gardner next month.
|
Quote:
what? two Dutch bands in a month? tu es malade ou quoi? I've never even heard of the band name EUT, never listened to Jacco but he should be cool to see live I guess. Have fun :) |
