What if you began a serious relationship with someone..

..and you really wanted this person in your life. How much of your past would you be willing to share (if he/she asked). What, if anything, would you sort of want to "save" for later in the relationship? Are there things wouldn't ever want he/she to know?
I know I have done some shit that I hope will never come back to haunt me.

Generally I ask my girlfriend things I want to know and then regret being told it. Though sometimes she's admitted to just telling me things I want to hear and that makes me more angry actually.

Though with me... I've never really did any regretful things.

The only way to have a seriopus relationship is to be clean about EVERYTHING up front. I have been with my man for 13 years now and believe me everything comes out in the wash, and it is better to deal with it now than later. I did alot I was ashamed of in the past, but if it is something he needs to know I will shamelfully devulge it all.

I have always been completely, brutally, 100% honest about everything I've ever done, in history. This has gained me much respect, as well as alienated everyone around me at certain points. I do feel that you don't have to really volunteer every little detail... but if you get asked about it, you might as well be honest.
