Was PCP a myth?

I've never met anyone who's even seen any, let alone taken it. Did it really exist or was it just something invented in 70s films for black characters to take?

noisereductions 09.10.2009 10:21 AM

I saw a documentary once from the 80's that showed a dude that was high on Angel Dust. It was f'd up.

demonrail666 09.10.2009 10:24 AM

I might've seen that same documentary. I remember one bit where a policeman described how someone on it had tried to rip the front off of a bus!

That's pretty reckless behaviour and I'm sure I'd notice if kids were wandering around ripping the fronts off buses.

floatingslowly 09.10.2009 10:25 AM

black people take it, you say.

where do I sign up?!!?

demonrail666 09.10.2009 10:25 AM

hollywood, circa 1975, I think

Rob Instigator 09.10.2009 10:29 AM

PCP is still ingested by runaways who dip their cigs or joints in formalfdehyde, which, when burned, creates a compound very much like PCP.
it is called "getting wet"

PCP is much more difficult to synthesize than LSD or meth and is much more easily controlled, or access to the raw ingredients is more easily controlled.

Know Your Source.

floatingslowly 09.10.2009 10:34 AM

my grandmother's office was robbed by someone on PCP once.

or so they said... he may have just been black.

demonrail666 09.10.2009 10:54 AM

and an actor.

Did your grandmother notice any large cameras during the robbery?

Rob Instigator 09.10.2009 10:54 AM

Geto Boys will tell ya about angel dust

My girls gettin skinny, shes strung out on coke
So I went to her mothers house and cut out her throat
Her grandma was standin there, she was screamin out, brad!
As she reached for the telly, I put the blade on grannys ass
Went to the back and grabbed a shovel
Now grannys on her way to meet the devil
Pulled out my .38 and aimed at the bitch
A cop says (freeze, muthafucka!) bitch, suck my dick
I said, die, muthafuckas! as I blasted
Something clicked in my head, visions of bodies in plastic
The scent of buckshots in human flesh
Pigs dyin from bullet wounds to the chest
No sheriffs gonna take me on a road
Dark as fuck, and let his pistols explode
Fuck that, cause I aints to die
So I reloaded my uzi and fired up another fry
It got me crazy as fuck
A ragin psychotic full of that angels dust

demonrail666 09.10.2009 10:58 AM

you missed off the second verse, where he rips the front off of a bus

Lamont Cranston 09.10.2009 10:58 AM

Meth would be easy to control if the pharmaceutical industry wouldn't block efforts to regulate over the counter cold medicine.

"fool how much you wanna bet, that I can dance under water, and not get wet!" mack 10

that my good friend is reference to smoking sherm.

no pcp is not a myth. I have smoked that shit. it is fucking crazy. it is wild. it is dangerous. in the hood, people dip p-dogs (a crack sprinkled joint of weed) into some sherm (liquid pcp) to make "Ghostbusters" to go out and do "dirt" which includes acts of violence which sober people are not capable of. In the early 1990s PCP was drive-by juice..

before crack PCP is what destroyed Compton/Watts area. people were hooked on that dust like a mofo..

DON'T SMOKE IT. its crazy. the high is like drinking a million beers without falling down..

and Rob, sherm is real pcp. it is relatively easy to make, you can do it in 48 hours in yr garage and you can get about a gallon of that shit with $600 worth of household chemicals from the HomeDepot.. know your cook..

"my neighborhood chef Raul, known for clowning chickens and turnin one into two thats what he's used.." e-40

okay, didn't know pcp was a prelude in that way

While the spark was a particular incident of police brutality, the reason the Watts Riots of '65 occurred can be traced back to the closing of many of the factories and plants in the L.A. area that had previously employed the prejudicially "zoned-in" residents of Watts and Compton.

Before those closings and the subsequent massive loss of jobs, the area was thriving and each generation was doing better than the one preceding.

They already do. Anythiong with ephedrine in Texas must be bought by signing a form at the pharmacist, and never over the counter.

Rob Instigator 09.10.2009 11:13 AM

stay away from sherm, "wet", dust, whatever. it truly is a one time can kill ya kind of drug.

yes.. but burried in those communities were CIA-heroin distribution networks transporting Vietnamese heroin and using black and mexican party crews to sell it. In Watts it was the Athens and the Pirus, who became the Bloods in reaction to the rising of the Crips, who began to sell heroin for the CIA after infiltrators shut down the Black Panthers. Between 1965-1970 the Panthers had the youth doing good, the LAPD reported NO CRIME in Watts area! Kids were busy in soup kitchens and afterschool programs to do any dirt.. but then the CIA shut it all down cuz Panthers were hating on heroin sells.. the crips are the little brothers and little homies of all the panthers that got arrested or assassinated in that time. they were weak willed and succumbed like many panthers to the allure of drug dealing. Then these party crews evolved into gangs through drug dealing for the CIA. Originally it was heroin, but as we all know, heroin is a serious not a casual drug, it gets hard to sell to new clients after awhile... so the CIA experimented with selling PCP, a recently banned anesthesia..

in the early to mid-1970s PCP was FUCKING UP the streets of Watts and Compton the way we think of crack in the 80s. lots of people were shermed out, and as dangerous a drug as it is, you can imagine how destructive its abuse was to the community and family structures..
PCP was practice for cocaine and crack, which the CIA discovered AFTER their involvement in Peru in the 1960s.. it replaced heroin because as we all know, cocaine is a social drug, people are more willing to try and use it than heroin.. it is the weed of hard drugs.. damned CIA..

I'm not sure. but then again, she was sleeping with her boss so I would suspect that she would be adverse to mentioning cameras.

would it help if I said that she also lived in Watts?

actually, Oklahoma has pioneered an anti-meth campaign that most states are looking at adopting.

you can't buy any kind of cold medicine here without them writing down yr driver's license.

Cali has the same program. there is practically no ephedrine around, which actually sucks if you need some good Day-quil.. I-man is ital though, I don't mess with those 'medicines' in the first place. I still run into folks stealing shitloads of these under-the-counter pills for street sales..

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 09.10.2009 12:20 PM

I was taking sudafed yesterday for my fucking cold that is ravaging me right now, and I woke up today feeling completely drugged out. Fuck that shit, I don't see why anyone would want an intensified form of this.

girlgun 09.10.2009 12:30 PM

i've actually done PCP. it was an accident though and it was only once.
