Woody Allen

Any fans?

I have all but about 10 of his movies.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 06.20.2006 08:10 PM

I don't think I have seen a movie of his I don't like.

My favorites:
Annie Hall
Deconstructing Harry
Match Point
Everything You Want To Know About Sex But Were Afraid to Ask
Mighty Aphrodite

I even like his cheap stuff like Jade Scorpion and Small Time Crooks.

I saw the beginning of Bananas and I liked it, but I didn't have time to finish watching it.

Daycare Nation 06.20.2006 08:29 PM

Haven't seen Deconstructing Harry yet...and not a fan of Mighty Aphrodite (I need to rewatch it, I guess)...

My favorites (off the top of my head):

Stardust Memories
Interiors
September
Another Woman
Match Point
Anything Else
Everyone Says I Love You
Love and Death
Manhattan
Celebrity

Daycare Nation 06.20.2006 08:40 PM

My all time favorite would probably be Stardust Memories.

umjammer atomsk 06.20.2006 08:47 PM

I really like what I've seen so far, that being:

Love and Death
Annie Hall
Stardust Memories
Bananas
Zelig
Crimes and Misdemeanors
Everything You Want To Know About Sex But Were Afraid to Ask
Mighty Aphrodite
& Sleeper

I read John Baxter's biography of him a few months ago and I saw Wild Man Blues on IFC last year. I can't wait to see more of his work.

Well, Mighty Aphrodite is sort of silly. I sort of like the greek play format and Mira Sorvino's character. Deconstructing Harry is a lot better though.

Daycare Nation 06.20.2006 11:21 PM

Is that English?

Flen flyys 06.21.2006 12:22 AM

He's my all time favorite filmmaker. My favorite is probably Crimes and Misdemeanors.

that bitch married his step-daughter. ew!

kingcoffee 06.21.2006 01:41 AM

I think Woody Allen is overrated. I haven't seen all of his films, but I like some of his films: Zelig, Annie Hall, Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Sex..., Mighty Aphrodite, Love and Death, Bullets over Broadway. Although he is a very talented comedian, writer an director, I just feel that he just gets a little too much recognition.

Yeah, that was pretty fuckiong perverted. I know he has absolutely no genetic relationship to her, but my god, man he raised her from the time she was a child. He was her father and now he fucks her. That may not be illegal but it's definitely wrong!!! I don't care if you aren't technically related to someone, once you raise a person, you can't bone them. It's just off limits.

luxinterior 06.21.2006 02:14 AM

I'm considering adopting a young boy, who I will then raise and turn into my personal sex slave. That's going to be an awkward conversation.
