Seriously though, Its been a rough year..lots of death, chaos, crazies, and other random drama. So far, 2006 has been one of the worst years I''ve lived through, the only redeeming part is that my son will be born in this year of static and sandpaper.

Wouldn't The Samaritans do a better job than some Sonic Youth fans?
At least they don't have to type in such stressed out way!Yeah!

Hip Priest 07.18.2006 07:32 AM

Sorry to hear that, RdTv.

I've lost five friends this year (they were all older people), so it's been a rough time. And at the weekend my cousin's three-year-old daughter died too. I'm good at dealing with stress though, so I tend to be able to manage things pretty well.

Hip Priest 07.18.2006 07:32 AM

Do the Samaritans do an online service?

porkmarras 07.18.2006 07:33 AM

Not sure but i think they do actually.

Hip Priest 07.18.2006 07:35 AM

Useful I imagine, in the modern world.

porkmarras 07.18.2006 07:44 AM

Probably not.Anyway,on a more serious note i have to admit that my year started with a bang.First i've been getting a lot of stress from my now ex patner and at the same time i've had some awful family problems that i wont discuss on here. For the first time in my life i didn't have a choice but to go and see a counsellor who turned out to be very helpful in many ways.I would have never thought that could happen but i was getting more and more depressed and i couldn't bear it anymore.I should also add that London, being such a big city, can be very stressful when it comes to commuting and stuff like that.Living as i do in a densely populated area(Westminster)adds to that even more. Some days it seems i cant get away from people and that can be a bit stressful.

Suicide Resources on the Internet.
If you're thinking of committing suicide right now,
please read this first.

porkmarras 07.18.2006 07:47 AM

By the way has anyone read that article on the newspaper about websites that give people tips on how to commit suicide?Aren't they awful?

Tokolosh 07.18.2006 07:51 AM

It's better than giving them tips on how to build a bomb.

sonicl 07.18.2006 07:52 AM

Yeah, I'm feeling mildly stressed right now. The sale of my flat has taken two months to get absolutely nowhere, one of my closest friends went into hospital for cancer surgery yesterday, and I get no satisfaction whatsoever from my job.

But, on the plus side, I don't live in daily fear of bombs and rockets dropping on my neighbourhood, and I don't have to spend all my time worrying where my next meal is going to come from.

I know what you mean. It helps to take a break from the chaos, once in a while.

porkmarras 07.18.2006 08:03 AM

That's all booked honey.I do go home often.Problems come with you wherever you go unfortunately.

Tokolosh 07.18.2006 08:10 AM

Oh... That sounds worse than I thought. :(

porkmarras 07.18.2006 08:17 AM

On the other hand i have to say that my job isnt really stressful at all.I generally cope with anxiety(as i've suffered from it since i was a teenager)in various ways.Music(as obvious a thing as it may sound)helps me a lot, friends and family are always there for me and i'm blessed with having one of the nicest mums in existence.Sonicl rightly pointed out that compared to what a vast amount of people are suffering right now,our problems might appear like very small ones.

Cantankerous 07.18.2006 08:18 AM

no way man. stress is not my scene.
