Indeed - its got a Murray Street/Sonic Nurse vibe to it. Fucking brilliant!

SYRFox 12.19.2010 10:13 AM

yes. that said, how will i be able to be credible now listening to "Sonic Youth - Jean-Baptiste et Laetitia" ??? seriously ?

greedrex 12.19.2010 10:23 AM

I concurr

Also, I took my wife on a date once to RTI in Camarillo, CA the premier vinyl pressing plant in the US. It was totally awesome, and I saw a whole cartload of Daydream Nation deluxe boxes. Wish I had a camera at the time. They were really, so cool to see all that stuff in person. Also, the guy giving the tour saw my enthusiasm for the DN pressing and said steve shelly was one of their favorite clients.

noisereductions 12.19.2010 02:29 PM

I think it looks beautiful. I wouldnt change it at all.

RanaldoNecro 12.19.2010 02:43 PM

Can't Wait

SonicBebs 12.19.2010 02:54 PM

yeah it's a nice photo, i just like the 1-5 vibe

but even 6, 7, and 8 have a trippy vibe

this is just a nice photo and probably ties into the film, but i like 'em trippy

EVOLghost 12.19.2010 04:52 PM

toxic johnny 12.19.2010 04:56 PM

I really liked the original SYR series design concept but this has taken it to a whole new level... just fantastic

Agreed.

Forgive my complete ignorance on this, but are these mostly instrumentals? Or....you know....songs, with vocals?

nancykitten 12.20.2010 09:41 AM

Wow, the trailer music is amazing.

nancykitten 12.20.2010 09:42 AM

I'm pretty sure they'll all be instrumentals; or at least, not proper songs, there might be some spoken parts, here and there.

I'm glad they've finally released a new SYR!

noisereductions 12.20.2010 09:46 AM

I'm honestly big time pumped for this. The trailer music reminds me of something from The Destroyed Room, which is totally one of my favorite SY albums.
