right now its older stuff, I rediscovered Circle X and love the guitar sound on their first 7" and the prehistory lp, it didn't grab me before for whatever reason...
also The Stooges: Funhouse Sessions, like the 17+ minute free-for-all onslaught on "l.a. blues"...
and some of the early Wipers lps.

I got this first, thought it was awesome. I'm of the opinion that it's the only decent thing he's done (oh, except the split with Nortt, but I preferred the Nortt side)

spider and the webs

Radiohead

Heldon!

Also, an obscure early 70s private press electronic LP called "Pytahgoron" is blowing my mind recently. I believe it was "reissued" on CDR by the Creel Pone label.

Datetenryu LP from 1971
New Up-Tight album 'The Beginning Of The End' is fantastic too.

Menace Ruine's The Die Is Cast album
Astral Social Club
Nadja

Typo alert:
It's "Pythagoron," and it is utterly timeless layered electronic shimmering, not dated in any way and amazing in al senses and not just an "undiscovered private record."

The Bats. I dunno how I missed this band, but it's only recently that i've gotten into them. I've been picking up everything by them I can get my hands on. They're awesome.

auto-aim 03.12.2009 07:58 PM

I've only just started getting into Sun City Girls... I think i'd been expecting a different band - I'm finding that I love half of it and finding the other half easy to dismiss.. I never thought i'd be seriously enjoying a song like shining path... tho isnt it a cover?
