no, that's rock

Cantankerous 08.08.2006 10:13 AM

i would hardly call it rock.

Everyneurotic 08.08.2006 10:13 AM

i vote you put whatever you feel is a noise album and an ace one at that.

let's what people's definition of noise is.

or whatever.

porkmarras 08.08.2006 10:15 AM

It is rock with elements of noise in it.To be strict it shouldn't be allowed on this thread but if someone has no tolerance to noise that record could be a good start.

I second that because industrial music could be loosely called noise music to a certain degree. So,yes, let's liberate ourselves.

Cantankerous 08.08.2006 10:17 AM

they did a lot of noisey stuff on that one but it didn't totally lack musical direction.

Everyneurotic 08.08.2006 10:19 AM

essential punk noise:

smegma - nattering naybobs of negativity

Toilet & Bowels 08.08.2006 10:28 AM

what's the point of starting a thread about favourite noise music if 10 posts in someone decides that noise is infact any genre of music you want it to be?
i assume the point of a thread like this is to mention noise you like or whatever, and not to just abandon it when it becomes apparent that not every single person who posts on this board is capable of joining in.

porkmarras 08.08.2006 10:30 AM

Noise fight!

Everyneurotic 08.08.2006 10:31 AM

so let's define noise t&b?

let's see how far we can get.

That's really pushing it and it is more rooted into early/late sixties avantgarde/rock music than noise as a genre. If anything 'White light White heat' has 10 times more noise in it than that.Disqualified on the grounds that it is a pointless record to mention on this thread.

okay. you're right.

Everyneurotic 08.08.2006 10:37 AM

i was thinking white light/white heat was a better candidate.
