such a good album

This is a really good album indeed.

I love the cover art, too. In this image it’s from a distance, but it’s pretty striking when it fills the screen.

I can't figure this place out. Lana sucks but Bruce is ok.

Anyway, I fucking love what Springsteen has done over the last 3 years. He is on a winning streak, imho.

I’m a few songs into this stellar live Banyan set from 2001: Perkins- drums/Flea- bass/Watt- bass/Waldman- trumpet/Wisdom- paint/(didn’t catch the name of the sax player).

Tunes include, but are not limited to:
Fun House
My Favorite Things
A Love Supreme
(Maybe some Miles “Sketches Of Spain” tunes?)

It's funny that I was recently talking about Springsteen / Lana Del Rey, because recently, in a fit of delirium, Springsteen talked about Lana Del Rey....

the guys sez: "I just love her writing. It’s cinematic."

so he's talking about lyrics, yeah?

i understand that, but lyrics are not music.

maybe i'll just read her lyrics and spare my ears. same as one can do with springsteen :D

I think when people talk about "writing a song", they are not talking only about lyrics, generally speaking.

When Springsteen said that he listened to Norman Fucking Rockwell, I don't think he ignored everything but the words that were sang.

(Slow news day, huh?)

Skuj 01.24.2021 05:02 PM

BTW, I am listening to Norman Fucking Rockwell.
