Yeah, hm, didn't really care for it. I'm sure the new album will be good, though. Sounds like they're going for something different, which is always nice.

EVOLghost 10.16.2010 12:42 PM

coo.

EVOLghost 10.16.2010 12:45 PM

Was that Wayne at the end?

chairman of the bored 10.16.2010 01:43 PM

Umm....hmm...first off, that cover, if it is the cover, is disgusting. I think I'll have to hear the album. That last one was so forgettable and it was time for them to do something "new". Just not sure if i dig this...

Green_mind 10.16.2010 02:07 PM

I like, it sounds like deerhoof. I wonder what symbol face guy makes of the new track?

auto-aim 10.17.2010 06:05 AM

there's a bit in the middle which reminds me of alec eiffel. This sounds pretty textbook deerhoof to me - with a slightly odder intro. i was a little bit let down when it went all regularrr. I like deerhoof though, the last album too.

atsonicpark 10.17.2010 06:45 AM

Most of their songs/albums take me a while to get into. I really dig them, but it takes a while for some of their stuff to sink in completely. I have a good feeling about the new album.

GREAT live band, btw.

That's sort of a good thing too. . . music that's challenging and expands your taste is never a bad thing.

atsonicpark 10.20.2010 09:46 AM

Ah, well, I wouldn't call them "challenging", I just think they usually just have awkward structures and hooks. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, but at least they usually try different things, especially when you consider how noisey they were when they started out.

I can't say I understand where they're going with their music at the moment, but it is interesting, and I hope it rocks live because I'm going to see them!
