there's a lot more truth in that statement than you realize, come to think of it...

Really? how so?

I think that's how I got thru highschool, making jokes about observations and then realizing my statement was correct...

About that:

A while back, our bassist had the idea of us doing one of our performances wearing just socks. Thought it would make us seem more personable/entertaining. I was personally sort of annoyed, as I'd chosen to wear this sort of mod-with-scarf get-up that would be ridiculous without the shoes, and our drummer had other problems with it... It didn't fly. Interestingly, it was our noisiest, most intense show to date, a complete contrast to the laid-back feeling we tend to give off... But that was mainly because our audience was a bunch of brainless bleating highschoolers, most of whom wouldn't know Merzbow from Mission of Burma...

well, 2 out of the 4 international noise guys who have taken their shows off to play have been very laid back and easy going. so i could probably suspect hippiesms going on.

----

today i bought me a toy violin, so messing around i kinda figured out to songs (or two segments of songs). let lawls start:

psycho theme: http://www.mediafire.com/?2h4ntgjjt0t
venus in furs: http://www.mediafire.com/?tzmwzmyrdju

and, more seriously, i recorded a song that's more garagey and song oriented than my regular stuff, it's sort of motörhead meets my bloody valentine meets the mummies or something like that; give it a listen and give me some criticism:

This is my band from the other week. Pardon my voice, if you can hear it, it was 100 degrees in this warehouse and the PA was also very weak, so I was losing my voice throughout the night trying to compensate....

but the vibe was strong!

Well, it isn't really a "band", it's just me overdubbing myself dozens of times.

Have a listen at the post-rock goodness: http://www.myspace.com/cocacolonoscopy

Some godawful radio station playing in the room next door. Currently playing something so banal that I can't remember what it's called. Some crap by Queen I think.
