Funny stuff. They're obviously really obsessed with this series. I am certain that listening to these podcasts provides more entertainment value than watching the films.

Yeah, i loved it.

I dunno this whole prequel thing is just getting on my nerves. The best mythologies I think are those that leave key areas blank rather than try to give a rational explanation for things which, in the case of Prometheus, ended up being a bit of a let down compared to the one I'd kind of constructed in my own head based on scraps of information from the orig. and its sequels.

That plus a mostly forgettable, interchangeable cast - especially compared with the original.

Ultimately though, it just felt like a film that didn't really need to exist.

Yeah. I was always more interested about what happened to Ripley and Winona after they landed on earth in the last proper one than any origin story. They exist. I accept. Move on.

And generally...you know when you're watching, like, a ghost-horror movie or something and everything is weird and confusing. Then in the last fifteen minutes or so a perfectly rational explanation is given?

I hate that. Why can't the ghosts just fuck with the protagonist(s) just to be assholes? Why do we need motivation explained?

I mean, wouldn't THE BIRDS suck if in the last few scenes what's-her-face comes across, like, a chemical leak or some bullshit to explain the birds' behavior?

why did Yoda not fuck a female green monster and make lil Yoda's? Yoda was homosexual? asexual? what about getting a blood transfusion from a Jedi?
