nicfit 05.01.2006 07:58 AM

thanks johnnywinternoshow..i like the "smoke" on stage, but that damned machine kept smoking all the time, and some pictures turned out a bit blurry, but the effect is nice, even if you can't see clearly their faces.apparently 65dos are not very popular, judging by the number of replies.ha ha.

Everyneurotic 05.01.2006 12:17 PM

SYRFox 04.08.2010 07:54 AM

I'm gonna see them in brussels on sunday. I hope they'll be good, cause other bands playing that night are Fuck Buttons, Mount Eerie and Three Trapped Tigers.

nicfit 04.14.2010 08:39 AM

^^^
so how was that?
Gonna see them a couple times in the next week or so (if everything goes according to plans)..

SYRFox 04.14.2010 11:55 AM

They were good. I was quite surprised to see they were the most famous band there, most people were there for them.
I did not think they were the best band of the night though, Fuck Buttons and Mount Eerie were much better. And too be honest I think they've had no luck to play after Fuck Buttons, cause their first three tracks were basically walls of sound but they sounded kinda weak after Fuck Buttons (which blasted and killed everyone's ears). After that it was better, I was expecting something more post-rock so I was pleased to hear it was not really that. The last track they played before they left the stage (and before the encore) was really great, kinda Fuck Buttons-ish actually, with a straight techno rhythm going on for 15 minutes and nice noisy melodies on top of that. A good set indeed.

radarmaker 04.14.2010 12:48 PM

Radio Protector is fucking great, but the rest of their stuff is a bit drab in comparison.
I saw a them play a funny one a few years back where their electronics kept failing which pretty much gutted their performance. I'd have a lot more respect for them if they had tried to carry on unplugged instead of fannying around for 20 minutes before the exact same thing happened again. and again. and again. :)
