considering the butthole surfers did NO west coast dates for their reunion AND sonic youth haven't hit the west coast in a year + a half + counting, i think the only logical conclusion would be a combined west coast tour. for the entire month of july.

Naked on the Vague

When I saw Sonic Youth in Newport, RI in '92, they had Throwing Muses (from Newport) and Cell play with them. Never had heard of Cell, but T-Muses was obviously BIG in the local area and had achieved quite a worldwide following in their relatively small niche. I don't think SY 'asked' them to play with them, I believe it was the event organizer, Harry Horgan (shake a leg dude). Could be wrong about his invitation though.
