HaydenAsche 10.19.2006 12:23 AM

"Not I" said the elitist bastard.

val-holla-ing 10.19.2006 01:48 AM

awww man! i totally agree! the hidden song with martin from antibalas afrobeat orchestra is the bizz!

Rob Instigator 10.19.2006 09:54 AM

I LOVE IT!

fishmonkey 10.19.2006 11:03 AM

i'm only getting into these and i got this CD on holidays (impulse buy...near the counter) and i love it, they are a great band.

Rob Instigator 10.19.2006 11:32 AM

I loved Desperate Youth Bloodthirsty babes
I loved the EP NEW HEALTH ROCK, and YOUNG LIARS EP as well

TV on The Radio used to be two dudes, ad slowly they built up a full band. it is great stuff.

val-holla-ing 10.19.2006 11:53 AM

has anyone heard "ok calculator"?

Rob Instigator 10.19.2006 12:30 PM

not I

Everyneurotic 10.19.2006 03:42 PM

i like it a lot, it's definitely a departure and i do miss the overtly drum machine and vocal harmonizing used on their past shit; but it would be silly to bitch about it, i like it's different and they have matured into accomplished songwriters.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 10.19.2006 03:52 PM

Their drummer is sooooo good.

I really love the new album.

!@#$%! 10.19.2006 04:19 PM

well thanks to the advice of record people i'm listening to 4 mp3s of this record i just downloaded

weird, i got 2 versions of wolf like me, one is 5:08 the other 5:15 oh its live. god dam the 5:08 i hate the vocals, the 5;15 sounds like fucking frank zappa-- awesome. i think there is some confusion as to the identity of these tracks.

now "i was a lover"-- oh hm sounds like they borrowed a page from (strangely) bjork (those synth noises in the background). thou the curtain of noise in front of it rocks.

not sure about the vocals. i often with dudes were mute so women would sing everything everywhere.

and now, on to yo la tengo...

Rob Instigator 10.19.2006 04:47 PM

ha ha! I cannot listen to women singers too much! I rock sleater kinney and kim gordon but all in all I prefer hearing dudes sing. odd huh?

m^a(t)h 10.19.2006 06:03 PM

i really hate tv on the radio

dietzer123 10.19.2006 06:16 PM

why do you hate tv on the radio?

John Violence 10.19.2006 06:58 PM

With the exception of "Wolf Like Me" i'm totally unimpressed by this album.

i agree! it's nice to see them going from playing over the same drum loop for the entire duration of the song to having songs with actual progressive structure.

PAULYBEE2656 10.21.2006 07:45 AM

dont get this album at all. found it poor in comparison to the first one. cant get into it at all. its like a mental block or something....

soapbars 10.21.2006 08:30 AM

even though i think this has great production the songs are pretty weak compared to their other stuff,

i was pretty dissappointed with it
