This is in no way a negative judgement on the album, but I often listen to this and think of Walker's later work as being somehow the most 'difficult' in my entire collection. Forget Nurse With Wound or harsh noise or extreme free jazz or whatever, this is my idea of truly punishing. And yet utterly compelling. |

"Twist of Fate" by Olivia Newton John. Before that it was "A Little More Love". Chop me down before I kill again!

Listening to Peter Wright, Pariahs Sing Om, inspired by the imagery and sounds from Werner Herzog's Encounters at the End of the World, which I just watched.

Haha, always glad to introduce someone to something that they love. Listening again right now. I've owned it for like almost 3 years now, but I originally bought it during a pretty tough emotional period, and it was just a bit much for me to take. Since then, I've tried and tried, but always somehow found that I massively appreciate it as quite possibly a work of genius without really enjoying it very much for extended periods, just because it's so harrowing and twisted. This last week though something about it has really clicked with me. It's an absolutely amazing album. My favourite at the moment is probably Patriot (A Single), which I've been playing an awful lot, but the whole thing is masterful. I really need to get Drift, which people have often told me is like the 'sister' album to this one... |
"Tilt" is a perfect record.
I'm listening to different tracks, right now Aufgehoben "Avant Primitiv" |
Inspired by the Wu Tang thread, Checking out some Ghostface Killah - the Iron Man album.
