|
Cool stuff. Another winner from Sub-Pop. |

I haven't listened to this in a while, I'll definitely pop it in soon. Haha. WEEZER's best. UP NEXT... |
CURRENTLY:
UP NEXT: I'm curious as to everyone's opinions on these 2 bands/albums. Personally, I adore them both. I believe both groups should be universally thought well of, but something tells me that tey might not be everyone's cup of tea. So whatta ya' guys think? |
Hah, this album is great. |
|
why the hell not....ATDI double-shot
|
You're not allowed to listen to two CDs in a row by the same band. It's against the rules here.
|
What if I'm doing a reverse chronological album marathon?

radiohead - amnesiac
and cat power - you are free right now. |
My least favourite of their albums, but still fantastic:
|
fushitsusha - pathetique
|
wooden shjips-volume 1
|
THE MONKEES - The Collection
This shit rules (except the fake country tunes). FUCK DA HATERS. |

Listened to this last night, classic. & Amnesiac sounds tempting as well. |
Peg: Al, I want sex. Al: Well, so do I. But I don't see the need to bring you into it. |
Sonic Youth - Dissapearer, third time in a row. I'm in the mood for the track.

Yes, I am a fan. 'Hitch Hike' stands out there.. is it as good as the studio version from '65? |
No. Sound quality is not good on this. The vocals are buried, especially on that track. Very lo-fi, but made up for in the fun factor.
This was recorded on a kid's reel-to-reel, in his suburban bedroom, off a live radio show broadcast in 1964. So take that as an indication. |

Oh, terrible. The studio version is muddy enough! It's a shame, they're great songs but a lot of them weren't done justice in the studio. |
But it's got a great energy. You feel like you're in those clubs. The band just doesn't sound miked well.
And I love the attitude on that cover! |
Sure its not his best stuff, but it is most certainly an enjoyable album. |
My copy doesn't have Iggy's name or the ablum title on the cover...
rare collectable? |
Iggy, rare and collectible? Come on...
|
= wonderful :D |

I've read that in some studio instances they had one mic for the band and then one for Jerry to sing into. Sort of gives you the gist of how ham-fisted the whole process was. And those cover photos are great, they're all done by Jini Dellaccio, she was the only professional photographer to shoot them in their career. |

Scratch that... Beat Em' Up is pretty damn bad.
Lets face it, Iggy needs some sort of musical catalyst (bowie, the stooges) to be good. He rarely gets it right on his own... |
