No, Qui played at ATP a few hours before their first reunion gig at the same stage. They had a special 7-inch for sale at the festival as well, with two songs from the upcoming Qui album.

It was great to see the difference between Yow as the lead singer of Qui and The Jesus Lizard. The first thing he did with The Jesus Lizard was jump straight into the audience before he even started singing (Puss). Even while crowdsurfing he didn't miss a single line.

I'll be seeing them 2 or 3 days after I see Sonic Youth the day after I see Sonic Youth.

What date? I have recordings from 2009-05-11 + 2009-05-28.

I'm hoping to go to the ATL show, though it's at the Variety so I'm buying tix fucking EARLY this time.

seeing them july 14th in nashville. the venue has a loft thing so if anyone has a videocamera and wanted to film it, that would be a good place to do it.

Seeing them live in Belguim on 20 august if I'm right.

there's an mp3 bootleg (1 file) floating around of 2009-05-10 (second ATP set). i'm guessing that's the one johnnywinternoshow has too.

i recorded 2009-05-09 myself (first ATP set and first reunion show) but because i was standing right at the front it's not a great listen, you can really hear the pushing, crowdsurfing and singing fans etc...

Yeah I have the May 10th bootleg and I'm probably singing in your recording of the first night too :D

Tickets cost only 15 euros!

November 12th at the Phoenix in Toronto! Can't wait! How I've longed for this moment.

Yeah, the Nashville show didn't disappoint. David Yow is still insane.

I think David crowd surfed 20 times...in less than 20 songs. He was in the crowd before he ever said a word except for running out 3 minutes before the show and telling the crowd that he "needed to take a piss" and a Michael Jackson-Farrah Fawcett joke as soon as he came back out.

i would see jesus lizard if i were you. they were amazing in nashville, and i've heard nothing but negative things about recent butthole surfers songs

In Nashville it was some rockabilly sounding band called the Pine Hill Haints or something to that effect. They were actually very decent.

They are doing paradiso here with future of the left as opener.

Which is great but I won't be going because both them are on a festival I am goign to.

In the case of Jesus Lizard, if you mean David's antics and the band's tightness. They're still there. The band never missed a beat and were into it and David spent most of his time on top of the crowd.

i saw them in london (their 3rd show since reuniting), i would highly recommend catching them if you can.

they are playing with sonic in a few days in seattle which i am gonna go catch. then up here in van.

I'd love to see them, hope they'll play here in Sweden someday. By the looks of videos they "still have it". David seems just as crazy as ever and the rest of the band seems to play tight.

I saw them in helsinki on wednesday. They do still have it, Yow kept his pants on but otherwise he was being just as crazy as I thought he'd be.
And was gently carried around on the arms of us, the inferior. He feels just as sweaty as he looks.
They played lots of stuff from goat and liar but no Lady Shoes which might be my favorite song of theirs. I minor and pointless complaint as it was probably the best gig I'll be seeing this year and definitely one of the most memorable ones.

Also, one of the hands around his crotch area is probably mine. The only place I could support him when he suddenly was gliding over us.
