Yeah, the Nashville show didn't disappoint. David Yow is still insane.

I think David crowd surfed 20 times...in less than 20 songs. He was in the crowd before he ever said a word except for running out 3 minutes before the show and telling the crowd that he "needed to take a piss" and a Michael Jackson-Farrah Fawcett joke as soon as he came back out.

i would see jesus lizard if i were you. they were amazing in nashville, and i've heard nothing but negative things about recent butthole surfers songs

In Nashville it was some rockabilly sounding band called the Pine Hill Haints or something to that effect. They were actually very decent.

They are doing paradiso here with future of the left as opener.

Which is great but I won't be going because both them are on a festival I am goign to.

In the case of Jesus Lizard, if you mean David's antics and the band's tightness. They're still there. The band never missed a beat and were into it and David spent most of his time on top of the crowd.

i saw them in london (their 3rd show since reuniting), i would highly recommend catching them if you can.

they are playing with sonic in a few days in seattle which i am gonna go catch. then up here in van.

I'd love to see them, hope they'll play here in Sweden someday. By the looks of videos they "still have it". David seems just as crazy as ever and the rest of the band seems to play tight.

I saw them in helsinki on wednesday. They do still have it, Yow kept his pants on but otherwise he was being just as crazy as I thought he'd be.
And was gently carried around on the arms of us, the inferior. He feels just as sweaty as he looks.
They played lots of stuff from goat and liar but no Lady Shoes which might be my favorite song of theirs. I minor and pointless complaint as it was probably the best gig I'll be seeing this year and definitely one of the most memorable ones.

Also, one of the hands around his crotch area is probably mine. The only place I could support him when he suddenly was gliding over us.

I mean maybe my favorite concert moment this year was seasick wen Jow jumped into the crowd and started screaming 'I can't swim'.
