mtv's amp

Anyone remember that show from 1997, MTV's "AMP"? It came on at 2:00 in the morning or something ridiculous, and it was nothing but electronic music. It ruled. Anyway, someone's uploading episodes of it on youtube, and that thrills me to no end.

the last i recall was the early 90s-- beavis+ butthead, aeon flux, daria... then it all became "reality" shit -- vomit---

notyourfiend 09.11.2009 09:35 AM

^ daria lasted from 97 - 02

i'm younger than many of you folks it seems. i remember getting a lecture in kindergarten 1rst grade about how beevis and butthead preformed stunts that were inappropriate and which we should not try to emulate.

then 97 must have been the last year i watched. just as "the real world" and "road rules" and innumerable buckets of shit were taking over the whole fucking schedule.

I was just thinking of Amp this week. I loved that era.

A few things to remember:

electronic music = no soul
computer button pushers = not musicians
