MY GIG

In a few days, I'm gonna play at this coffee shop--real fucking yuppie. Open mic nights there are funny as hell; everyone's in so much pain and SERIOUS.

So, I'm gonna play with an electric guitar, playing along to an SY mix I'll have going through a stereo. That's it. No meaning-of-life shit. No ex-girlfreind rants. Just ROCK. LOUD.

I'm not sure how many songs I'll get through, but I am certain I will never be able to play there again.

I hate how open mic nights have become cry into the microphone nights.
I started going to some open mics like 5 or 6 years ago and they were usually eclectic with people having fun with originals and covers.
