Jaco Pastorius died in 1987 but a Ghost Bassist might be something to see.

Jaco and Joni

jennthebenn 11.10.2009 05:15 PM

Hey, Mingus is dead as fuck too, and someone offered him up.

jennthebenn 11.10.2009 05:19 PM

I think Matt Heyner would be more likely than Watt - Watt would cost too much. And I agree with your Pave conviction - there is a lot of time between now and next year for SM to have another pissy fit. Personally I think this is driven by the wives who married into the pavement legend and then found there isn't any rock star money there, and they want some.

Flip that around and you've got yourself an idea.

All Hail WATT 11.13.2009 03:00 PM

WATT couldn't work out.
and not for costing too much money as someone suggested? That, I am sure would not be the problem.
The problem with WATT coming in, is that he is in at least 4 other bands right now, one of which is the Stooges, who are gonna tour next year. His schedule is way too busy to hop on board, but if it was for only a month or 2 who knows.
Hell let's dream of a Stooges/SY tour in 2010! Then we can put WATT up thar!

Massenvernichtungswaffen 11.14.2009 11:09 AM

Paul McCartney?? LOL. He would so not be into that. :D

Watt would be awesome. They could play the White(y) Album stuff.
other bassists that would fit well would be
ME
ME
ME
My Doppelgänger/ME

I am excited for Pavement doing shows. I should try and catch them somewhere.

PAULYBEE2656 11.14.2009 01:01 PM

sonic sphere 04.03.2010 08:07 AM
