Janet Weiss is more polyrhythmic than that four armed, four legged octopi drum monster that is mickey hart and bill kreutzmann on ACID yo!

I am surprisingly looking forward to hear this, and I generally don't dig drum albums, to Buddy Miles for me.

It was a good run, shit 3 years!! I enjoyed the shows and the records and I can understand, these ladies have spent TWENTY years of their lives most nights of the week in dive bars and shit theaters, inevitably it takes its toll. Props to them for even coming together and making it work for as long as it did, it was really just an accident. Carrie and Mary were hanging out to remaster and release some The Spells material that was never finished in 1999, and shortly after Carrie published those tracks (which were epically good btw) on her NPR blog suddenly there are the rumors of Wild Flag. Ex Hex looks good, and clearly Carrie enjoys the Portlandia thing, she has become a literal Portland area celebrity, kicking it courtside at Blazers games like she was the Jack Nicholson or Spike Lee of the Northwest..

I wonder if Janet feels a bit foolish leaving the Jicks now....

I'm interested in Ex Hex and I'm sure Janet will find something. Maybe that SK reunion isn't too far off.

And it's a double one, and it's better than London Calling.
