Actually really gutted about this one. His career was just starting and the stuff he did for Sicario, Theory of Everything, and my personal fav Arrival were all brilliant. He was one that I was always gonna be looking forward to seeing what he did.

Raises the question whether the fact he pulled out of Blade Runner had anything to do with it. Real shame.

No! He was so extraordinarily talented! His work on “Arrival” (especially “Kangaru”) is some of the best film composing of the decade. It’s also been my alarm every day since I first heard it.
