Onani Nic 04.08.2006 10:07 PM

my favourite part of the movie was went the middle-aged couple walked out straight after the first gay sex scene.

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 04.08.2006 10:25 PM

Alex's Trip 12.21.2006 06:18 PM

I beg to differ. I've not seen this particular film though.

fishmonkey 12.21.2006 06:54 PM

i never saw it, i dont like either actor really, but you can be fuckin sure i will see it.

The film was alright. It was certainly one of the better movies of what was a terrible year in film.

Should have certainly won the Oscar over Crash, which is probably one of the worst winners of the "Best Film" award, but then again, BM wouldn't have shone in history either.

Kink Factor (orientation pending)

Jake Gyllenhaal in Brokeback Mountain < Maggie Gyllenhaal in Secretary

Yeah!

(It's been a long day)

Never seen it. Around the same time he, being Heath Ledger, did Brokeback Mountain, he did an Australian filmed called Candy. Good movie. His Australian films are cool.

I thought it was really good. And like someone said above, certainly better than Crash, which I did not care for at all.

The only reason why so many people made a big deal about Brokeback Mountain was because it starred two very well-known actors. By the way everyone was talking, I was expecting the movie to be really explicit, but it was actually really tame.

Silent Dan Speaks 12.21.2006 11:02 PM

I haven't seen it, but I'd almost guarantee it's better than Crash.

I hated Crash. How the hell did that movie win best picture?

Yeah, and very sad. I had heard a lot of things about the movie before seeing it, but not one person mentioned how sad it was, which still surprises me.

Also, the location was gorgeous.

Nah.

Tokolosh 12.22.2006 04:41 AM

I loved it. For me, it has more to do with a love that cannot be, than the homosexual relationship itself. It has beautiful shots of wide open spaces in the high grasslands of Wyoming and should be watched on the big screen.
Good soundtrack for a feel good movie.

jon boy 12.22.2006 05:24 AM

still havnt seen it but it looks like a good film for me for the new year.
