Yeah, I didn't like Last Days at all. I'd give it a 2, cause I got to see Kim.

Silent Dan Speaks 06.20.2008 10:14 PM

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. Pretty cool, glad I finally watched it.

EMMAh 06.20.2008 10:15 PM

I started watching the 2007 Halloween, but it was rather lame so I got my mom to change the channel

She did not enjoy the ass raping scene, and neither did I.

WONDERFUL MOVIE.

sure a little sloppy and technically imperfect but GREAT story, characters, dialogue, etc.

THANKS EVERYNEUROTIC-- great recommendation.

i love that scene!!!

that and when mamo goes to see the sage.

sleepy hollow? really? i think it's good and quite entertaining but not burton's best by a long shot.

considering the absolute crap he has squirted out on the public in the past ten or so years, i say sleepy hollow is in the middle.

LifeDistortion 06.20.2008 11:07 PM

Got back from seeing "The Hulk" & "Get Smart"

Like I said, I'm partial to Sleepy Hollow more because of my personal attraction to it. Most people would say that their favorite Burton/Depp (and Landau/Lisa Marie) outing (no pun intended) is Ed Wood.

Last movie:

Jules and Jim. Absolutely loved it.

viewtiful_alan 06.24.2008 01:55 AM

The Bucket List.

I think I liked it... its one of those movies where I'm not sure how I felt by the end of it.
Kind of heartwarming.

Derek 06.25.2008 05:58 PM

The Evil Dead.

Holy fuck that was awesome.

sobriquet 06.25.2008 06:05 PM

Wanted.

terriblecanyons 06.25.2008 06:06 PM

I watched I am Legend for the first time a few days ago.
I thought it was fantastic... until they pulled the whole GOD EXISTS LAWL LOOK HERE'S HIS PLAN bullshit.
That really pissed me off.

Sonic Youth 37 06.25.2008 06:52 PM

Sleepy Holllow...again.

Before that it was Season 1 of The Simpsons and the Godfather Part II

Watching Gangs Of New York right now.

nicfit 06.26.2008 03:19 AM

novo

couldn't sleep and watched this on tv, quite messy and out of focus, with some nice ideas.
there's a new addiction for the "hot girls" thread in it.

Infiinity on cable. Matthew Broderick & the Arquette starlet. Meh. Interesting story sort of but pretty corny.

Will Smith a dog, and mannequin related innuendo...
Somehow this movie bored me to death.
It could have used a good editor... you literally had to watch Will smith do everything, like you'd have to watch him take a whole anticlimactic drive.. they couldn't just cut it short... I don't know I just remember hating that movie.

Derek 06.27.2008 11:35 AM

Eastern Promises - 8/10

tw2113 06.27.2008 01:08 PM

Caddyshack, it let me down a lot

it is one of those that gets better the more you watch it, but it is definitely a true cult movie, and not something truly "great"

Sonic Youth 37 06.27.2008 06:46 PM

The Chevy Chase and Bill Murray lines make that movie. The rest is just OK at best.

Earlier:
The Professional

Now:
And Now For Something Completely Different...

atsonicpark 06.27.2008 07:28 PM

the professional is good if a bit overrated. I preferred la femme nikita. Leon's relationship with natalie portman was kinda ... icky.

Sonic Youth 37 06.27.2008 07:48 PM

Yeah, I'll give you that. He was slightly more than a "proper father figure"

Sonic Youth 37 06.27.2008 08:13 PM

Now I'm watching Whats Eating Gilbert Grape.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 06.27.2008 10:05 PM

I've been meaning to get around to this lately. Care to go a little more in depth on what you liked and didn't like about the flick?

i thought this was really well done. i went into the theater with very few expectations, especially since etgar keret wrote the story that this is based off. etgar keret is a really shitty israeli writer, who tries to be too clever for his own good.
but this movie was fantastic
and it was great to see tom waits...
yesterday i saw
the excremating angel
it was amazing.

touch me i'm sick 06.28.2008 02:19 AM
