Hey everyone, it’s so good to be back. The response from people on hearing we are a band again has been so positive, so joyful, we really feel the love. So thank you. We have some new things to share with you, and a new song, so we hope you dig it.

Thanks to everyone who participated in our Reddit AUA session yesterday, too. You asked great questions, and we had a lot of fun. You can read the whole transcript here.

Also, tonight, December 3, we're going to be on The Chris Gethard Show. You can stream it live at 11pm EST at thechrisgethardshow.com (it will also be up on YouTube tomorrow).

NO CITIES TO LOVE (out Jan 20) is available for presale! There are CD, LP, and limited-edition deluxe LP options. We also have a special new t-shirt, exclusive to our webstore, that you can include as part of a package, as well as an update on an old favorite. You can preorder NO CITIES TO LOVE here.

If you weren't able to get your hands on our colored vinyl box set, Start Together , we're printing a limited-edition black vinyl version. You can preorder it here.

There are still a few tickets left in to select shows in the No Cities Tour. Info and links below.

See you soon, right? 2015, here we come.

Carrie, Corin and Janet.

Good. Now back me up on the "Mary Timony deserves part of Sonic Youth's 'Sunday' royalties" matter.
:)

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 12.11.2014 04:51 PM

Mary Timony deserves anything

Umm... Yeah, no, well, she does, but I'm talking about this specific thing... Nobody here seems to give much of a crap about it.

GOT MY MOTHERFUCKING TICKET.TODAY!! was worried.I.wouldnt get them.because I was in rhe middle.of giving a lecture on Elizabethan England at 10am when they went onsale and.didnt.finish until 1015 and they sold out all the.other presale dates..... I figured, "if its sold.out its meant to be" and instead fate worked out my way..

neptuneg 01.12.2015 08:53 PM

Anyone listen to the new album streaming on NPR? Favorite tracks so far?

pantophobia 01.12.2015 10:03 PM

listened a few times, been in a weird frame of mind so not sure how that would cloud judgement

I am extremely digging the sound and tone, it's very danceable too, Carrie has mentioned during the writing process listening to lots of Bowie and Duran Duran

it's early, but I am liking this more then The Woods, where i would place it in their catalog, it's harder to say, it's not better then One Beat, but I don't think anything could top that for me

outside of Bury Our Friends and Surface Envy which have been out for a while, I really love the one two punch Price Tag and Fanglass, they have such an bombastic groove blasting into you, and Fade is such an excellent final song

it's a quick listen at only 32 minutes long, but a very nice delight

wow that took way to long to write so little, I really AM out of

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 01.12.2015 10:40 PM

Im debating doing like i did with ex hex and purposely not listening to this record until i go to the show so it can be a surprise but i honestly don't know if i can wait 5 fucking months yo

LifeDistortion 01.13.2015 02:09 AM

I listened to the NPR stream last night and I enjoyed the album quite a bit. I think I'll be getting it on iTunes when its available. Just as an aside I have also listened to Marilyn Manson's The Pale Emperor, I've never been a big Manson fan, I appreciate him as an artist more than I enjoy the music, and this new album didn't change my opinion, decent, but never pleasantly surprised.
