I still don't have a decent external mic, so I'll rely on my faithful edirol's built in mics... actually I sent them an email asking for official taping permission, so we could (if they have enough time to reply) get my first ever aud+sbd recording :D, aud with the edirol, sbd with minidisc + whichever kind of cable is hookable to the sbd .

I'll try and have a handycam lent to me for the night... would be sweet, but it's all a work in progress, don't get too excited...yet.

Furthermore, I asked if there's a chance to get to see the recording sessions, making a sort of diary/pic gallery would be ubercool...

I know what you mean. Four years ago they were supporting Lightning Bolt in Amsterdam, while I went to the Rotterdam show instead thinking I'd get to see Sightings another time... If I'd known then that it was going to take them 4 years to get their lazy asses back over here I would've made the effort, surely.
I rarely even listen to them anymore nowadays, but I'm still happy to see them live finally.

i just got offered free tickets to see avril lavinge, it's too bad i'm not fucked in the brain.

And hopefully this time Oxbow will go for the full on rock treatment, even though that last time the duo was sweet. When and where are Converge playing?

Going to see Swervedriver tonight in Toronto. It's the NXNE festival so there's a shitload of opening acts and Swervedriver aren't scheduled to go on until 1am so I'm a bit worried their going to be forced into an abbreviated set. Whatever though, I've been waiting half my life to see them.

Went to The Breeders at the Orange Peel last night. Great show. Kim and Kelley's voice sounded great, although I think Kim was more than a little wasted. Opening band was Magic Wands, never heard of them before, they were decent as far as opening bands go
