Is this off of that 'failure to thrive' EP? I don't remember it being on there. EDIT: Ignore that question. I found it here: http://www.jdkingillustration.com/coachmen.html Nice one. |
Yeah, from Moshe's thread today.
Makes me almost want to burn a new copy of Failure to Thrive with Rumble added. As soon as I do that, mo(o)re will come out of the woodwork though. Or at least I hope so. |
Yeah, that Failure to Thrive EP is a strange one. I picked up some kind of vinyl reissue in the late 80s, and never really got into it. But I've just downloaded it and I'm listening now. It sort of makes a bit more sense now, hearing it with a little more of an awareness regarding where they were coming from, so to speak. When I got it back then, I was probably just expecting a different take on Evol, or something. Still not sure if I like it that much, but at least it makes a bit more sense to me nowadays.

Due to recommendations (well not really, just seeing some people on hear talking about it):
It's kinda like Autechre without the pretentiousness. |

Christ, I notice that the Mellster's turned into a right Mojo reader today. A quid sees him throwing on some Knopfler pretty soon!

I'm beginning to think this may very well be the Stones' third greatest LP behind Exile and Fingers. Fuck Let It Bleed and Beggars Banquet. There's nothing on those LPs holds a candle to "Winter" or "100 Years Ago."
