Black Eyes: Cough LP.

I'm about to go to sleep with Explosions in the Sky's How Strange, Innocence... last night it was Refused's Shape of Punk to Come, so don't think I'm a pussy-sleeper!
|
Was until a second ago:
The Mars Volta: De-loused in the Comatorium. LP. Now: The Paperbacks: An Episode of Sparrows. CD. My father sits down on the porch step next to me, he rubs a tattoo that's lost all it's clarity. But the image depicted has power; it serves to remind how time will conspire to erase every trace of a life. I suffer this like a dream. |

Ziw-zih Ziw-zih OO-OO-OO MP3.
A robot prayer, it accompanied an adaption of Asimov's short story Reason. The voices are reversed but actually say "Praise to the Master/His Wisdom and His Reason/Praise to the Master/Forever and OO-OO-OO-OO/His Wis.../His Wis.../OO-OO-OO-OO/"." |

Interpol - Our frickin love to admire
i love it too much, its a curse |
right now:
a bit before: (this is mekedo airono, it's a guy from mexico, the album is an exploration of mid and high frequency feedback; i'm releasing it) and before that: monument of urns - cruelty (lo-fi funeral doom band with gregorian chants, like a badly recorded meeting between deathspell omega with corrupted) |
|
Don Cherry - Mu Part1
|
|
Neil Young - Tonight's The Night Live compilation (from dime)
|
i'm having a vinyl listening party for myself since my turntable is fixed, so far:
(fucking aye!!!! i love both songs, the shoegazer taste of the one in side a and the total psych jazz on side b, the sax fucking slay, i love how they manage to channel miles davis, sun ra, post-syc pre-dark side pink floyd and sy) and (it's smegma and it's awesome like always) |
(kinda weird, i finally got it, it's their only album i didn't get into right away and haven't heard in a while, but now i totally get it, helps i'm listening to it on vinyl, but then again, it's debatable since it's a picture disc) |
edit actually I'm listening to vol.1 |
don't worry don't worry don't worry aawaahawwaahaawwaahhhawaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! |
the chick w/ the annoying voice
i actually love this record, i confess. |

in all it's vinyl glory, thank you alexis fleisig! |
my vinyl party rages on!
last ones i heard in order: (isis live 02, the recording is kinda shaky but the performances slay!!) (very surprised by this one, with a lot more ebb and flow than what i have heard them play) and now: (yes, it does sound sweeter on vinyl). |
today I've been listening to the entire Ghoul discog, wishing I was in LA right now watching them.
|
(can you say ten times better on vinyl?) |
What are Isis like?
I saw one of their LPs real cheap online. |
to put it very simply, they are like if mogwai were ten times heavier, tuned down and had a guy roar from time to time over the music.

actually, boris always records analog.
besides, it's because of the extended versions of the songs (my machine and farewell, i don't like those songs on the cd version). |
