There's another great track on the EP that Back to School is on, 'sincerely yours confused'. It's got a really nice 'Coney Island Baby' feel to it. Very chilled. I do still think Twin Infinitives is their one true moment of real greatness, though.

demonrail666 02.17.2012 09:18 PM

I don't have the EP anymore so it might be. But thinking about it more and listening to 'Back to School' on youtube, I'm wondering if that might not be the song I was thinking about.

I have the first album, the 1990 Royal Trux, Cats and Dogs, and Veterans of Disorder.

EDIT: Not Twin Infinitives. Damn, I thought I had that one.

Have only made it through the first record so far. Sounds like a great big mess. And I love it.

The packaging is great. Great cover art, great inner sleeve art.

Everybody, if the artist's name and title is not part of the album cover art, can we please use artist names and album titles in these posts? I know it's cooler just to post the cover art, but that's making an assumption that everybody else knows these things, or it's making the presumption that you're cooler than everybody else who doesn't know these things.

I, for one, would like to know what this album is.

Apology accepted, and thank you. Please don't let it happen again.

looks like new Neil/Crazy Horse is in the works. hallelouiah! will it be better than this epic near-album-length teaser though? hard to say. i think i drooled all over the gear through the video: a seeming excess of analog (tube?) mixing boards, two inch tape, super worn gold-top les paul, old black, tweed deluxe w/ whizzer, whizzer foot controller, magnatone, crusty lodge ambiance.

Thing about listening to Royal Trux (and getting into it)... other music doesn't sound the same afterwards.

Their albums are not unlike Trout Mask Replica. They explode your notions, and then conventional stuff is just, well, conventional.

VERY underrated, in my opinion.
