loudest show I ahve ever been to, quite frankly, was david Lee Roth on the Eat Em & Smile Tour right after he left van halen, when he had steve vai on guitar, yankee rose and shit.

at noise agaisnt fascism in 2004 16-bitch pileup made me DEAF my ear was ringing for 3 days after fucking bad move to be up next to the stage for their set.

both of those i remember my ears hurting, you had your head practically inside of chippendale's bass drum and you didn't go deaf, still shocked

New Blockaders and Haters seemed quite loud from the back of the room at ATP

well you did have sarah b from 16bitch in your face screaming her lungs out so that didn't help

I got Tinnitus from a Melt Banana concert.

Joe Satriani (I was young :o), it was so loud we felt like being behind a jet engine
More recently Mogwai (at one moment there was a guy with a loudness meter and we saw that the light was always in the red, I guess he was someone from the concert room who noticed that it was quite loud).

Dinosaur Jr. were the loudest band I've seen. I brought earplugs because I was warned about them. When I saw Jello Biafra and The Melvins though I didn't think of doing the same and my ears rang for three days afterwards.

and i'm deeply grateful for the invention of antihypertensive drugs and perfusions.

I still have slight tinnitus in my right ear, though.
